CLIENT ADVOCACY IS ABOUT KEEPING CONSTANT CARE IN MOTION FOR THE CLIENTS, FAMILIES AND THEIR LOVED ONES IN THE MOST CRITICAL TIMES IN THEIR LIFE.
Meet Susie, she is a Client Advocate at Integrity Home Care + Hospice. Susie works with clients and their families to navigate the mountains of paperwork, confusing terms and conditions and frustrations that come with accessing health care. When helping you find ways to pay for the care you need, we leave no stone unturned. This service is just one of the things Integrity does differently.
Client Advocacy is about connecting care, compassion and resources to keep our clients home and safe. Our Client Advocates help families and loved ones to assist clients with the deepest desire in life’s journey- to stay at home as long as possible. Working with them side by side providing the quality of life at home they need from the first call to the last breath.
Here’s Susie’s ‘why’: My grandfather admitted himself into a nursing home after my grandma passed away because he didn’t want to be a burden to his family. I was in the process of trying to get him home and take care of him myself but he passed away before I was able to do that. I wanted so much to give back to him all he had given me, so I decided to become a caregiver. The clients I had, often had no available family members. To see them smile and have a new reason to get up in the morning felt so good! I got to experience the true difference that caregiving could make and found my purpose here. I now work in a client advocacy role where I get to help clients navigate their care decisions and connect them with resources. Sometimes, just taking the time to explain things can ease someone’s burden.
